News that Bitpay may be supporting SHIB came from AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron. He tweeted on November 15 that Bitpay had decided to take over crypto shiba inu “specifically because I asked, so that AMC could take shiba inu for online payments of movie tickets and concessions.”

He added that AMC will be the first Bitpay customer to accept shiba inu crypto, expecting their company to start accepting SHIB within 60 to 120 days from the date of the announcement.

The adoption of the crypto shiba inu meme has increased. In November, the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange added support for SHIB. Meanwhile, shiba inu supporters are still asking on Change.org for the Robinhood trading platform to accept the SHIB. So far 540,000 signatures have been collected. However, Robinhood recently said he was in no rush to list SHIB or any other cryptocurrency.
