In partnership with data protection and management provider Commvault, Vast seeks to provide a more integrated set of code-centric data backup tools.
Integrated how?

Vast announces its Universal Storage solution bucks the traditional Purpose-Built Backup Appliance (PBBA) model, that deduplicate data on spinning disks and are not designed for fast data recovery.
Key differentiators of the Commvault now powered by Vast include an An all-flash, scalable architecture designed to meet stringent recovery time objectives (RTOs) by delivering 50x better recovery performance.
Data Developer Deployment
Vast and Commvault have also developed a common reference architecture to guide developers and data teams through the optimized deployment of the combined solution.
Through this partnership, Vast emphasizes that Commvault customers will be able to protect “any amount of enterprise data” on a single cloud-scale platform and recover thousands of virtual machines in hours, if and when needed.
Vast also provides compliance and data governance for eDiscovery and sensitive data audits.
